These letters are usually sent to your isp by groups who don't even know who you are and some ISP's forward them onto their customers. The last thing you want to do is contact them so they can learn who you are. If they knew who you are, they would contact you directly. I can't give you any legal advice nor can I make any statement at all officially from BitComet except to tell you that BitComet doesn't support the use of their product to download any copyrighted material without the knowledge of the copyright owners.
