SuperHovik Posted June 30, 2015 Share Posted June 30, 2015 Ive been using bitcomet for years and years and nothing like this ever happened. every single time i open bitcomet it just crashes, i didnt install the new v1.39 because i didnt use my computer yesterday. so i thought maybe it crashes because its not updated. so i did update to v1.39 and no change. keeps crashing. tried v1.37, crashes too, restarting the computer doesnt help, reinstalling doesnt help, what can i do? i dont trust other torrent downloading programs. please help me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The UnUsual Suspect Posted July 1, 2015 Share Posted July 1, 2015 Try renaming your "downloads.xml" and "bitcomet.xml" files to any other random name and see if bitcomet starts. If so it will recreate default versions of these files and that would indicate one or both of them are corrupt. The location of these files varies depending on windows version, user account settings and bitcomet settings, but most users can find them by typing %appdata% in the address bar of any folder then opening the bitcomet folder.
