  1. I'm currently using BitComet 1.98 on Windows 10 and I'm fine with it. But I have a problem. In directory C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\BitComet\torrent_cache\... 730,269 files have accumulated, over 2 years (32GB). In addition to the important occupation of space, I have the impression that this slows down some procedures. I would like to know if it is possible to delete them totally or only the most recent ones and if there is a procedure to do it or if I can do it manually. Thanks for the attention.
  2. I have been continuously connected with BitComet for 15 years (score 631292 Ranking 5). I want to thank all the staff, for their ability, courtesy and professionalism always shown and of which I am a witness. Thanks BitComet.
  3. Similar problem: I am reported error on BitCometAgent_1.92.7.9.dll (Norton 360 and Loaris Troian Remover). Installed multiple times and deny optional requests, but the problem remains. Thanks for your attention.
  4. Thanks. After several attempts (I'm not good) the problem was solved. Then updated to version 1.88 the problem did not appear. Thanks again, this had never happened in 11 years. Always cheers BitComet and all the staff.
  5. Norton 360 firewall blocks connection to BitComet 1.87 and above all does not allow connection to the tracker. It has deleted BitComet from the list of authorized programs and does not allow it to be re-entered (by error). If you reinstall BitComet when you launch the program, the Norton 360 firewall changes the rules and does not allow connection with the BitComet server. The only solution is to block the firewall, but it is a very risky solution. So are BitComet and Norton 360 incompatible?
  6. What matters is the connection time, not just for points, but to allow others to download. I have been online since 11/17/2007 and have been Sovereign for years. Today I have a score of 609452 and Rank 5. The real satisfaction remains the quality of the BitComet service both as a client and for that of the collaborators (thanks rhubarb and partners).
  7. I use BitComet 1.87. Since yesterday, the page reporting the connected peers is blocked, that is, it always signals the same connection, one and the same for all up / down files and does not update the variation. Everything else works smoothly and in particular I can insert new trackers and the up / down works and so does the summary and statistics page. The problem appeared suddenly after days of good operation. I tested for malware (Norton Security 360, IObit Antivirus, IObit Malware Fighter, Loaris Troian Remover, HitmanPro). The question is whether it is a bug or if it depends on my PC. Thanks for your attention.
  8. I also haven't been able to log in for 2 days. I installed v 1.80, which seems to me improved over v 1.79. Even if I can't log in it seems that the functionality is not compromised. Too bad for the score, but I don't drink beer anyway. The only mistake is the recognition of my role as my Id (I'm Svereign, score 581.812, Rank 6, as of September 28th). I look forward to the restoration of the connection and thank you always for all your work.
  9. Now the situation has become stable after a few days. I think the difficulty could have been due to problems with the site where the up / download came from and not from Bitcomet. Possible?
  10. Thanks for your answer. If I manually update the tracker, the peers are updated, but the connection does not always restart, so I have to close Bitcomet and relaunch it and then the files resume uploading at full bandwidth. The phenomenon is more marked in http and DHT connections, rare in udp ones.
  11. I have had the same problem for some time, but not always. It seemed fixed with version 1.74, but after a while it reappeared. The files in up / download are fine and generally restart spontaneously at the end of the download, but after about 30 min they reset and restart (almost always) only after manual update of the tracker. The same problem does not occur with other clients such as Utorrent, Deluge or eMule. I have checked and as far as possible ruled out the presence of malware. I also did the tests on the router IP, in line with your advice, but without success. It just seems to me that BitComet has a lost connection with the router, but that doesn't happen with other programs. Any suggestions? Thank you.
  12. I have the same problem. I access the forum, but not from the program. I think it's due to the server.
  13. Thanks for your reply and congratulations for your speed. The problem of accessing CometId has been solved, only a modest difficulty remains in maintaining access to seeds and peers.
  14. I have installed BitComet 1.72. After launching the program I cannot log in with my username and password, even if I repeat the login attempts. At https://members.bitcomet.com/en/login he offers me the correct username and if I enter the password, 500 server error appears. The same if I select "you forgot your password". If I connect to this forum I am automatically recognized and can access all options. I hope the problem can be resolved soon. I have been connected for 13 years next week (Rank 8, Score 541965) and I hope to be able to continue the connection for a long time. I must also point out that the program (1.71 and now 1.72) often loses the connection with seed and peer, so I have to manually update the tracker. Is the problem I reported a bug with the program or is it a problem with the server or my system?
  15. Thanks for your reply, always courteous and punctual. Now the peer rating seems more correct. Perhaps it was a problem of the ability to update my PC.
