Just downloaded CometMarks for firefox. Opened up the Fx addons extensions. Says CometMarks is
incompatible with Firefox 19.0.2. CometMarks was disabled.
Is a CometMarks version that will be compatible with Fx 19.0.2 in the works?
Seems like its a problem with the website or a problem in CometBird regsrding javascript funtioning. Here is a Fx discussion on this subject: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/933941.
Maybe I can figure out how to import my Fx bookmarks. No help coming here anyway.
Just in case someone comes around to post on this subject, I have done the folowing (no need to waste somwones time :) )
Cleared cach and cookies; ran import html & .Json in CometBird safe mode; disabled plugins and addons in CometBird and in Fx disabled both plugins & addons; In CB changed within about:config the 10 time setting to 20 in dom.max_scipt_run_time; and lastly
uninstalled CB then redownloaded & reinstalled a new version (in case the problem came about in a bad installation).
Still get the general script notification but with this: Script: resource:///components/PlacesCategoriesStarter.js:76
I see lots of people are using CB for bookmarks, so I might be missing something simple. Setup maybe? Working on that now.
This is the usual response I get from the CometBird bookmarks import library:
"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Script: resource:///components/PlacesCategoriesStarter.js:76"
Sure could use a tip on how to import my Fx .json/html bookmarks into CometBird!
Yours, Diligent :)
OK, thata good info. I'll go from there. I did notice the similarity in looks to Fx but since its operations are the same, that solves that. I appreciate your response.
Thank You, Diligent
