  1. My god, you've actually managed to get connected!! Everyone I know that has tried to take up their offering is still waiting after 2 months have you tried going to the menu bar then options-preferences-connection At the bottom is protocol encryption - (set to enable if you havent) Other than that, will leave it to the experts to help U

    crack codes

I downloaded this, but quite a long time ago so it probably isnt from the same source. If the crack you are talking about is an .exe file, its probably a case of installing the software then going into its directory and replacing the exe file there with the cracked version. Most downloads have a readme.txt that tell you exactly what needs to be done, so your best bet is starting there.
  3. Hi everyone. Was just after a few opinions on ISP's as I am thinking about making a change. At the moment I have a work supplied deal which is 1M down 256K up, via a BT Line. Have a problem in that I am so far from an exchange apparently, that my line is only just stable at 1M and I cannot expect any better. Ive been told if I subscribe to any of the up to services i could end up with only 512K so I opted for a fixed 1M rather than one which dynamically adjusts. Ive been looking at telewest, as I know that cable is available in my area and I saw this as an alternative to being stuck with the BT Line. The only downside I could see to this is though they have a 10M service, the upload is only 384k Could anyone offer their opinions on Telewest, or recommend any alternative options to look at Thanks
  4. Ok Cheers, I have disabled DHT now for the next two torrents I have scheduled so I will see what that does to my stats, Definately am having a problem with misreporting though, as I have just logged on to my demonoid account and its showing an upload of just under 500Mb and download of 1.2G. I know for a fact I have downloaded more than 3G and I have made sure that I have continued to seed until bittorrent shows a ratio of at least 2.0
  5. Hey, Using .70 and downloading via demonoid, and on noticing that my sharing ratio was being misreported, went through their FAQs, and found this Any ideas why?, can it be solved, am I stuck with using a different client for demonoid. Have got DHT enabled on my global settings, but am now disabling it for individual torrents downloaded from demonoid - will this cure the issue? cheers
  6. Can I just ask, why do you recommend turning off DHT. Ive been trying to fine tune my settings after you kindly helped me out recently but this is one thing I left on. Is having DHT enabled only useful if you are not getting a tracker connection and/or the number of seed/peer connections are less than the number you allow in the settings? Generally find at worst, torrent I see are have 9+seed 300+ peers so i am never connecting to all available. (Ive set myself up for 1 simult download task/ 200 connections, and limited my uploads to 24K/b/s as per the 80% guide recommendation.) In theory I should be able to achieve around 140K down but even on the torrent link you posted I only ever achieve about 60K/bs despite my tinkering. THanks
  7. Hi everyone, Can anyone help with this for the following torrent bctp://task/Enterprise/35964451425/a8b3ceee47c9cda1cfc0aedc1f7d563181fe6f4a/ hxxp://tracker.sladinki007.net:6500/announce Looking at the file list, it is split between avi files for each episode, but there are other metadata files. I was wondering, are the metadata files useful for anything or are they completely unnecessary  . Thanks above a little inaccurate, files are xml files and are created in a subdirectory called metafiles within the main download folder
  8. Ive come across the red X on two occasions, 1 when I have run out of space as above, and 2 when I have had one of the downloading files open in another application which caused a sharing violation. If you highlight the torrent with the X next to it, then in the lower view, select the files view, then look down the right hand side in the operations method column where it normally says read & write, you should see a different message against one of the files which will give you a clue as to the problem
  9. That'd be me then! I did find if you deselect part downloaded files in a torrent, you can get away with it if you reselect them before the torrent stops. If the torrent does finish though its not a complete disaster. if you reselect the files after the torrent has stopped they will show as 0%, but if you then do a manual hash check, and restart again afterwards , you can recover the situation (might lose a % or so of what you had already downloaded but its not as bad as starting from scratch.)
  10. Really into Settlers II 10th Anniversary Edition - Wicked update of the original
  11. Thanks for all the info, Tried the link you suggested, and after letting it run for 5-10 mins, saw it top out at 56Kbs, which is better than I was getting, so it shows the difference a quality torrent makes. Still well below my potential 140Kbs though, but will play around with the settings when I have 5 mins and use this torrent as a bench to test the changes. (realise I wont see 140K, but if I can edge it towards the 100K mark I would be more than happy.) Guess it I will always be a bit limited in view of the terrible ratio i have between up and down on my line capacity. As far as the second issue goes, makes sence once its explained, figured I was being inventive, but I was working on the assumption that for torrents with multiple files, the parts of each file would be self contained. Will make better use of the option to prioritise individual files within the download rather than banning in future. Ps. Thanks for the comments, was a bit nervous posting anything with 'speed issues' in the title after looking around various boards for inspiration.
  12. As usual, got everything in the wrong order! Already posted in the client general help section but then spotted this one, so wanted to say Hi, as I just joined today. :P
  13. Hi, Am after a bit of help with bitcomet 7.0 Think I have set everything up properly but don't seem to be getting the speeds I should on well seeded torrents Problem 1 Followed the setup guides, and seem to have everything working inc port forwarding etc but the most I can seem to get is 35ishKB/s Down running one torrent at a time. my line speed is 1152kbps down 288 kbps up, so have worked this out to be approx 140KB/s down 32 KB/s up Have taken advise of the guides and set my up rate to 25KB/s (80%) and have set max global connections to 200 (my router seems to have issues at around 250 but fine under that) Not sure what else I can do to improve it Prob 2 I have been trying to download a 33Gig torrent so rather than wait for it to complete, as it contains multiple files (episodes), I have been banning later files and downloading blocks of 10 so I can download complete eposodes and watch them, once the 10 are nearly finished, I then start the next 10 off and so on. Once the 10 are finished, I leave them on normal, so I am still seeding them but I find that when I start the next set of 10, some of the files that were at 1005 change to 99.1% or similar (see below file1 100% Normal file2 95.1% Normal file3 100% Normal file4 - Banned file5 - Banned file1 100% Normal file2 95.1% Normal file3 99.1% Normal file4 0% Normal file5 0% Normal If I stop the download and open the download directory file3 will run properly, but then if I start BT it will continue to read and write on that file until it reaches 100, then stay on read and write (not read only) until I stop and start the torrent again Also find that if I dont allow the .bci extension, the file will not stop automatically at 100% and still shows as read & write. If anyone has any ideas on either, would be very grateful for any help,
