How to update Add-ons in Cometbird not Firefox

Keep geeting a popup about out of date add-ons.When I check, there are 2 incl. Shockwave that say they are out of date. When I try to update, am brought to Mozilla site and updates are sent to Firefox not Cometbird. Please help.
