  1. Hello BitComet, Today I have seen another error. It happens when you have many tasks and you are forced to close Windows. I restart Windows and start BitComet again. I see now first task starts with a HASH check and the next tasks are QUEUED for a HASH CHECK. If I do again a STOP ALL and Exit, than I restart BitComet and do a START ALL, I see the current task without HASH CHECK. In other words if a HASH CHECK IN PROGRESS is stoped and BitComet restarted it does not RESTART the HASH CHECK. It is like HASH CHECK completed successfuly, but it did not complete. The other tasks , those queued restart a HASH CHECK, but if BitComet is restarted if does this behaviour until all tasks are like they are HASH CHECK completed. George
  2. OK, I explain it. The Solid State Drive is no match today for the Mechanical Drive or HDD, in term of CAPACITY. HDDs have today at least as 4TByte capacity where SSD goes as much as 1TByte and it costs as much as a brand new PC. The SSD has also as DESIGN LIMITATION , LIMITED NUMBER of WRITE CYCLES. For the MULTIMEDIA STORAGE it is prefered a drive with UNLIMITED NUMBER of WRITE CYCLES. The SSD is very apreciated and apropiate in use for the PROGRAM CODE, meaning Windows, Linux, boot drives. 3. Hello all, I would like to discuss a common problem in BitComet. The GUI freezes in the case of intensive disk IO. Most users have for the multimedia HDD drivers because these provide capacity as needed. I have seen BitCommet GUI freezing in at least 3 case scenarios. I add that I discuss about BitComet handling large torrent task, around 10 tasks with a total of 1TByte size on the HDD. I also set a large cache size for disk - Max size 2GByte. 1. If I select all torrent task and do a Stop I get a BitComet not responding for about 5-10 seconds 2. If I switch beetwing tasks and changing the tabs again I have 1 sec delay in GUI (here is not an - Not Responding notification) 3. When loading a torrent in the File window I have seen also 1 sec freeze in GUI with large torrents I would like to propose a processing message in the GUI and special handling for GUI to stay responsive all the time. Great job BitComet developers, it is working fine and handels large torrent very well. I am happy with BitComet 1.38 64bit stable. Good job with the large cache also. Thanks, George
  4. Hi all, That one with the Rule for both Private and Public was solved automaticaly by the Windows Firewall. I know that the first VDSL router Huawey should be put as bridge but till now I was not able to put it as Bridge (without PPPoE), as Bridge IP. I would ask to the TELEKOM is they have something else as modem because I need it to be configured in BRIDGE mode. The second solution I don't like it so much. As speed it works fast enought, it is similar with uTorrent without legacy connection. You miss a lot of peers but it works fine. Now the question is: The UPNP configuration is enought for the BitComet to function properly? I ask it because this one I was able to solve. Thanks, George
  5. Hello, I have tries all the wikis above, I have set also the IP as static, (even it is not absolutely necesary), and still I have the PORT blocked. Please give me any tip, advice. Thanks, George
  6. I have deleted the rules from the Virtual Server and Application rules and I have added only Port Forwarding as in the link http://portforward.c...8L/BitComet.htm Still the port is blocked. I use DHCP on the ruter whch gives me prefered (always) 192.168.2.100
  7. Hello, I solved the problem with the UPNP, see the log below. The problem I have is I have Yellow light: I have a Huawey 658 router with UPNP enabled connected to the ISP on VDSL. I tried to connect dirrectly and all is detected UPNP and I have a Green light with WAN and the adress. I use a D-Link 868L connected on LAN 0 on the Huawey modem, and I connect on the 5Ghz network. All is auto, DHCP is on, UPNP active. The settings from the log are with the D-Link connection. But I still have that yellow that the port is blocked, slow download. I tried to add the PORT and my IP in the advanced settings in the Virtual Server, Port Forwarding and Application rules. All have allow on my fix port and my IP is put from the router list. The application settings does not require an ip, only the PORT specified. Can you help and tell me what I have to configure more. I folowed also http://wiki.bitcomet.com/add_port_mapping_in_nat_router#bitcomet_upnp_auto_port_mapping and done all for UPNP port mapping. 8. I have put this torrent again in BitComet this time as magnet and I still get System can't find the specified path It has space this time on an SSD. The torrent works just fine in uTorrent 3.4 with 6 seed and 7 peers at 150KByte per second. The sample is: Johann Sebastian Bach complete edition Posted by bachburner in Music > Mp3 16.6 GB 3184 1 month 0 4 It has a lot of files. Thanks, George Nistor
  9. Hello, I have seen the folowing problem with one of my torrents. After 12 hours of Downloading it goes to Connecting in Status and I have no download speed. If I triggered a Update Tracker the Status ramains the same. It does not change for hours. It just stays to Connecting in Status without any incomming data. I did a Stop all and Start all and It started ok with 6 seeds and 7 peers. The sample torrent is: Mozart - Phillips Complete Edition (MP3 @ 320kbps) in Music > Mp3 24.83 GB 2626 3 years seeds:12 peers:3 I took the torrent as magnet. Thanks, George
  10. I have just checked the torrent below and it works OK with utorrent 3.4 Johann Sebastian Bach complete edition Posted by bachburner in Music > Mp3 16.6 GB 3184 1 month 0 4
  11. It seems it is a problem with this special torrent. After 10 mins I get this error. It has a lot of files within: Johann Sebastian Bach complete edition Posted by bachburner in Music > Mp3 16.6 GB 3184 1 month 0 4
  12. I think I found the error, but it was because of the space, not the Sysytem can't finr´d the specified path. I have only 17GB free and the torrent has 16.6 GB. Thanks, George
  13. Hello, I run under an Administrator type account. I have seen just now a new error: 3. I started before midnight a big torrent: bach 16.6GB and I let it Downloading. When I look to it it had error: System can't find the specified path. I did a Stop torrent, and Start and now it works. I mention, I use Tags since yesterday. Maybe I should put them off. Thanks, George
  14. Hello BitComet, 1. I opened a huge torrent, which was arround 100GB, I did a stop torrent than I deleted the torrent. I chose the last option delete torrent and data. The error was that all the files were deleted for the folder structure remained. Than i did a stop all and I did a exit from BitComet. I checked again the folder from Windows Explorer after BitComet was exiting and I saw the Folder Structure Intact. I use Windows 8.1 Pro En and BitComet 1.58. 2. The second problem is when you have a huge torrent and go to the Detailed Window. Select Files and in the tab try to deselect a FOLDER. Click ones , twise and BitComet freezes. I got a BitComet - Not Responding. After 5 seconds the GUI gets unblocked again. I use a HDD , mechanichal drive, and I saw this behaviour with the GUI which freezes. It is possible on SSD to not have the behaviour, but anyways is a problem. Ather than these 2 points the BitComet works just great! Thanks for the BitComet, George
