  1. For some reason it is working now. I have just loaded up Office Professional and it went through a load of updates, but my port is now listening. So it must have just been that Windows needed to be updated. Thanks for your help though.
  2. Thanks, but none of it worked. I'll just have to wait until more people use Windows 10. But as I have said before, everything worked fine on my old computer. Must be something on this one.
  3. 1. I am using the latest version, although it is showing as Beta. 2. ADSL I think, connect using WiFi 3. Router is a Sky Router, never had any problems with it before so I would assume it's not that 4. Only have one active computer and router 5. Windows 10 64 bit, don't use their Firewall, use Vipre Internet Security Firewall - again have used it for years and never had a problem 6. Not that I know of Hope that helps. As I have said I have used BitComet for years and also used in my old computer with Windows 10. But this new computer just doesn't seem to like it.
  4. Hi I previously used a computer with Windows 7 which I then upgraded to WIndows 10 and BitComet ran perfectly. However, as that computer was really slow I have bought a new one. This had Windows 8.1 which I immediately upgraded to WIndows 10. Since I have installed BitComet I have always had a blocked port, and the UPnP has always failed. Has anyone any ideas what to do? I have tried changing FIrewall settings using the guides on here, but nothing has worked. I can download data perfectly, but I can share it back. 5. I have a constant blocked port too. I am going to start a new support request. I have tried everything with the firewall that I can think of. I can happily take but not give.
  6. I have three problems at present with the new version. 1. With old versions of BitComet if you clicked on the floating window the BitComet main window would appear, and of course disappear again when you double clicked it again. The window still appears when you double click the floating window, but will not disappear again. The only time it will disappear again is if you have had another window, IE for example, open. 2. When you re-arrange the main BitComet screen, moving sections around, when the program is restarted it forgets where you had put everything so you have to rejig again. 3. With the old version if you clicked on the red X the program would minimise. However, on the new version, when you press the red X the program shuts down.
  7. It is possible to take parts of the file from leechers, but obviously only if they have the parts you haven't. Being behind a firewall will not be a problem as you would have already asked the firewall to let the BitComet program run. If there are no seeders then you will have to be patient until one comes back, or you could put a request on the site you got the torrent from. You could always try a manual connect, right click on the running torrent and then click on manual connect. Doing a manual connect sometimes kicks it up a bit. There probably isn't a way you can watch it without being 100% because it is not complete. You may be able to watch some bits, but this depends on how the file has been split. This is the problem with torrents though, you can't be a I want it now sort of person, you just have to have patience. You might want to check what the other peers files are at too, if they are all at 99% then either the file is dodgy or you're going to have to wait. :)
  8. Has the file appeared in your BitComet and is it running? Perhaps they have a timer on it. I think some sites make you wait before you can start seeding.
  9. That happens to me every now and again. I would suggest stopping some torrents if you have a lot uploading/downloading. I don't think it really matters what speed your connection is, if there is no one seeding then you won't get anything back.

That's right. The quality on most of them is useless. I wouldn't waste my time downloading anything that isn't a DVD rip.
  11. From what I have read it is meant to give you quicker uploads. I'm not too sure what the points are for though, I've got 107.
