  1. I tried to avoid obtaining 10-bit videos, but subbers are starting to release their material in 10-bit and Im telling you right now, your player cant play 10 bit videos properly. Theres obviously a new H264 codec out there. I downloaded the latest CCP codecs. And miraculously , the player was able to play 10 bit videos. But then few hours later, the sound started failing, so I would only get picture. Iam confused as to what caused this audio failure or conflict between the FFDshow audio codecs and the CCP audio codecs. Now whenever I uninstall the CCP , the audio starts working again on MPCStar but if I have it uninstalled, I can no longer play 10-bit videos properly. I mean, has anyone looked into this? H264 codec must have been upgraded or something.
  2. I would love to. But then theres the risk of codecs clashing with each other no? I mean, Im using the player with codecs provided with ur installation.
  3. Thank you for your response. Whenever I try playing a 10-bit video(And this has started to be a new norm with all Encoders in the sub teams for Anime/Hentai out ) I get sploshes of water color like stuff, all throughout my video. Example: Happens every time for any 10-bit video. And all videos arent from the same subbing team. I read that page u linked me to about the details of the codec. And it seems that it has true support for 8-bit but they just through in 9 and 10 for the heck of it. Subbers are talking about updating your codecs. SO surely there must be a codec that is dedicated to 10-bit no? I havent bothered doing my research on that. But everyone is going around telling others to update ur codecs like a new true 10-bit codec was released recently or something.
  4. So when are you guys going to upgrade the player so it can play 10-bit videos correctly?? I could easily download the new codec packs. But there is always that risk of it contradicting with the codecs provided by the MPCStar player. Soooo anytime soon? New release?
  5. Yes what wizard said. Usually if theres a borken AVI, MpcStar only builds up to the point of the break. While VLC fixes the AVI index, allowing u to play the entire file.
  6. I was just wondering if u guys are ever going to implement this function into the player(Like VLC Media Player does) in the near future or even at all?
  7. Yeah I figured as much. Was just wondering if by any chance u guys had that codec under some other name. Thanx for the reply.
  8. What in the h*** is up wtih this audio codec? How does one even end up using that? lol Anyways, does MPCstar have this audio codec?
  9. But I cant seem to locate the .asf Codec in the ffdshow. Or is it no longer included in MpcStar anymore? No wait it is, but cant locate it in the actual ffdshow. Basically cant open the .asf file but Windows media player can @_@
  10. This is just a theory but, this problem could be fixed by allowing the program(MPCStar.exe) in the Data Prevention section. Though Im just basing this off on the matter that the ones reporting this prob are Vista users.
  11. @rana17 Works perfectly fine with windows vista......
  12. Thank You! Yeah, I see where ur coming from man. But to some of, they have made it a habit to name many of their videos with "#" next to the the according "number" the video is in the series. Just throwing that in there.
  13. Awesome, 4.6. Haven't posted in quite a while, since this has been executing perfectly. But... I uprated to 4.6 and I don't know if its just me or if I have some setting I shouldn't have on. But whenever I try to play a file that has "#" in its name. It considers it a "file not found" (right on the left bottom corner of the player. That's one problem with 4.6 I have. And yes, if I take out the "#" from the name of the file I'm trying to play it will play. But yea, can someone look into this problem? Maybe its just me whos having that problem. Hopefully not.
  14. @kluelos Yeah that sounds like a good idea. But see most freeware usually doesnt do so good with HD videos. I wanna keep the HD'ness you know? Plus idk if its just me but I have a little pet peeve were if something isn't like its suppose to be originally it bothers me xD. But Anyways thanx dude. I have come to a conclusion that I need a better graphics card, one of those fancy new ones that are meant for HD and what nots. I mean I got like 3 of those videos that are 1080x720p that do that, that work, are watchable but try navagating through them and they freeze. Its like if I had one bad one what are the chances of me getting 3 bad ones? Plus other people dont seem to have problem with them. So Ima just upgrade my comp. Plus those vids tend to act like the 1920 x 1080P videos and I know for a fact I need a better graphics cards for those. Thanx for the help dudes. But if I said something wrong please to hesitate to point it out to me.
