  1. well, the link in the first post contains no info on connecting to this IRC channel and i dont see any info here in this thread either... =\ how am i meant to enter this IRC that does not seemingly exist? edit 1: xD the last post in this thread contains the info needed... maybe make note of it in the starting post? edit 2: surprisingly, no one else is there xD
  2. most threads on this forum relating to memory describe how bitcomet uses. memory... try using the search feature.
  3. sheesh there needs to be a sticky explaining how bitcomet works with memory -.-' its normal for it to use an amount of memory equivalent to what has already been downloaded in the current session. this is how its been for eons and yea.... its how it pro longs hard drive life i think.
  4. open www.nero.com/enu/ click downloads button along the top click the updates for nero 7 click the download button to download it right click and copy the link location for the "click here in case it doesnt auto start downloading" open bitcomet click "file" then "add download" (or whatever its called then paste the link in the appropriate place... set number of simultaneous connections to make to the source to whatever you want start the download ---------- note that every so often it will disconnect... and that it will take ages for it to manage to connect to the server -.- this can start occurring from the get go... and the connection gets less and less stable as it gets near completion. hope this helps... v0.77 windows xp home 2 gigs ddr2 ram tons of freespace (several gigs free on both drives) nvidia 6600gt 128mb vid card sata II hard drive (drive 1) standard hard drive (drive 2)
  5. the small add you got on the bottom left pane when looking at your current torrents/http downloads gets placed incorrectly if you expand the list of connections a http download is using. hope this is clear enough -.-'
  6. i understand that, just reporting a bug in it for you. do you want me to continue testing these "beta"'s? or not?
  7. in the options --> connections part i have set my download speed to 18 (im on 256/64) and it reports as downloading stuff at 20 and not 18. so the bug is that the download speed limiter is off by 2 KB edit: v0.77
  8. yep i downloaded it from download.com and altho there page isnt updated the download IS v0.77
  9. sooo the download from download.com is actually 0.77? or do i have to just wait for download.com to update the page?
  10. uh where the h*** do i get v0.77 from? your link on main page takes me to 0.76 and when i click download on the left bar it says the latest is 0.76..... link me please... i have also searched the site v0.76 resides on and only found 0.76 (keyword = bitcomet)
  11. im very very pleased with bitcomet v0.76 and 0.77 you are defiantly putting lotsa effort into this product and i am just amazed and wish you all the best for the future. the download link on the left of your sight contains links to both 0.70 and 0.76 but not 0.77 the bitcomet main site has 0.70 and 0.77 but the 0.77 link takes me to the 0.76 download.
  12. uh your example of cd images being a mere 100kb's is inaccurate.... i have a 650~ mb cd image of settlers 2 next generation and it rars itself up to 170kb approx~ its a fixed image but so what... its mentioned only to prove that what you said isnt exactly accurate. limewire and bitcomet are from different software categories and should not be compared with each other directly
  13. move the first episode back to where it was... as the other movies are dependent on the first movies code... or you were looking at the wrong percentage... and was only looking at the percent for what you were downloading and not all the episodes combined.
  14. can the minimum upload setting be reduced to 2kb? as 3kb kinda kills surfing for dial up users and thos that use 256/64k internet.
  15. this is normal... as you initiated the torrent with all selected thus the space reserved is = to the whole torrent.... if you erase the files (not he torrent and force bitcomet to hash check it so that it starts again (at 0%) you will see that now that your initializing with only what you chose that the reserved space matches what you chose. (i got confused in that explanation)
