  1. you need to get winrar if you don't already have it right click the first file in the list .r00 and extract here this should produce your movie its an archive you are dealing with
  2. if your just seeding, it will make no difference what priority you set
  3. sounds like they are incomplete double check otherwise you can manually change the file extention.
  4. sounds like real media try http://www.filehippo.com/download_media_player_classic/ or if you want full real player function in web browsers too http://www.filehippo.com/download_real_alternative/
  5. use windows task scheduler allow program to wake computer you may have to enter your login password when configuring this in the scheduler
  6. easiest way is to download what you can, but don't exceed the quota permitted, then leave it to seed as much as you can, set your upload to max if you are not downloading or using your pc for anything. also try try looking for public torrents http://www.mininova.org/ http://isohunt.com/ http://torrentspy.com/latest.asp
  7. program files\bitcomet\torrents
  8. you say you cannot access your router, but at some point it sounds like you have because you talk about port forwarding. to access your router you need to enter the LAN Port IP address (default gateway), it will be something like (Check this with ipconfig at the c: prompt) it will then ask you for your login details by default they are usually login: admin pass: password But it sounds like you have already done this. So the question is, have you changed the login from default (as you should) but can you remember it?? If all fails, re-set the router. To do this press the re-set button with a small pointed object (paper clip) You will have to set it all up again, but the login will be back to default. if I have got the wrong end of the stick, you may need to explain what you have done and want to do
  9. I use Linux most of the time SuSe 10.1 but run Utorrent in that, it is certainly quick, but I would be interested to know if you were running BC in Mandriva Not sure if it is really quicker, it very much depends what you are downloading, but maybe someoneelse has some experience. I have never really looked into it, but will look more closely from now on
  10. just follow the instructions its easy mount using DT. click the DT logo in your tray, choose one of the drives, and then find the image you want to mount, click and your done. You should find the game will auto run. your main image file is the big 4gig one. the rest is self explanitory
  11. some good advice already given its the same story with the windows OS, almost all the bad stuff is targeted at windows, because 90% of pc's run it and there appears to be no option otherwise, and anything like nOrton that very often comes bundled in a new pc and so is almost epidemic in its use, is going to come under the same fire, but you do have a choice here, so make a wise one. Dump nOrton. If you have a router firewall corectly configured you will be fine with just the xp firewall enabled, (although personally, when using windows, I use Kerio). Anti-virus: Big choice, but AVG Free is pretty good: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 or Avast Personal, also free for home use: http://www.filehippo.com/download_avast_antivirus/
  12. try vlc http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ its pretty rock solid playing almost anything or if you have real alternative that will install media player classic, which too is great: http://www.filehippo.com/download_real_alternative/ and you can play rm files without all the real crap, and just about any other file there is.
  13. display your files in list view, its easier to determine the first file in the series then right click the first file and select "extract here" that should auto extract them all in to one video file (just hope there is no password)
