  1. Hey there, i wanna ask a question. My downloading and uploading stuff are all fine. but then, im kinda annoyed by the seeding thing as it will make me lag when playing fps and online games, such as CSGO and it is really frustrating. So, is it fine if we just seed a little bit often as long its consistent? ~Not a stealer~
  2. BitComet says that my listening port is blocked. It is showing my PUBLIC IP. I am seeding (trying to) seed torrents to keep a ratio and I need to NOT use a proxy. Port forwarding is enabled on my router, but not sure what port to use? The router is Netgear R600. What do use? How do I enter my public IP instead of my internal 192.68. etc ? I am NOT connectable. I have turned off the firewall, same. How can I seed!!!?
  3. Goodday Gentlemen I have recently switched from using a laptop top a desktop PC, and used BitComet for torrent on both of them. I always make sure my upload ratio is at the very least 1:1. Since i have started using BitComet on my PC, i have noticed that my download and upload information in the 'Statistics' bar has been reset (i have logged in with my account). Does anyone know if there is some place where i can see my overall download history, because i dont want to go lower than 1:1 accidently and then turn into one of those Hit and Run bastards. I am using 64-Bit BitComet version 1.36 on Windows 8 Pro 64Bit, and i am connected via a Billion 800 VGT router with 2MB per sec ADSL (bloody third world internet). Regards Keycooker

  5. Suppose I have one completed and three incomplete torrent tasks in my client. If I seed the completed one, will it affect the download speed of the incomplete torrent tasks? Other questions: Suppose a torrent task in BitComet shows Seeds/Peers(all) as 3/9(5/40). Does it mean that there are 5 persons who have the COMPLETE file and out of them 3 are connected? Or these 5 persons actually have INCOMPLETE file? Does the number 40 includes these 5 persons? Someone please answer me.
  6. I have been using Bit Comet for a while now, but I wohaven't seeded any files. How do I do this?

  8. I have been using bit comet for years and would finally like to be able to completely understand how this works. I am able to download no problem and gone over and over my settings and they seem to be in order. I don't want to look like a leech and try to share my files after every download is complete. Recently it doesn't appear that my completed downloads are uploading/seeding. There is no upload progress at all and it show 0kb for an upload speed. I have made sure that the firewall is set to allow bit comet as well. I don't understand much about how the connections should be set to allow for seeding. I have seeded in the past so not sure what the problem is. I have all green lights too. Do I have to be seeding for a while before the upload speed will kick in? Can someone help me with this?
  9. Hola! Carlos Hi! I've been having a problem sharing files. I've just downloaded five torrents, each of various Gb-size. While I was downloading them, there were being shared quite well. They reached an upload speed of 30 KB/s, which is what I had set as the maximum. But now, that they're completey downloaded, these speeds don't surpass 6 KB/s - and that, only happenning during certain moments, during many others, it doesn't share anything at all. The torrents have many leechers (three of them, over a thousand), which is why I don't know why they aren't leeching from my files. I use BitComet 64-bit 1.31. I have an AXTEL 2Mb connection, and have a max download speed of 200 KB/s and about 50 KB/s for upload. I use a D-Link DIR-600 router, and AXTEL has another modem. The ports are already open and I didn't have many problems downloading them. I use Windows 7 Ultimate Ed., Windows firewall and avast! Free antivirus. I've tried disabling the firewall, and even the antivirus, but it remains the same, so I don't think that they are the cause. What to do, so that they are shared faster? If you need any additional information, I'll be happy to oblige. Carlos.
