Hello All, I've been a sporadic BitComet user since 2008. I'm running V1.51 at present and also using the torrent client built in to my NAS. In the past I've managed to muddle through and get what I needed but this time I don't know what to do next. Currently trying to get hold of a special Christmas episode of "The Waltons" called "The Homecoming" from years back, but both torrents that I've found are not yeilding any action. Is there a forum or noticeboard or somewhere that I can post onto that might get me some seeding action? Apologies for what must be a basic Newbie question, happy to read instructions if someone can point me towards them. Thanks in Advance - Spin35

Why isn't Pirate Bay starting up or any other torrent site?

Suppose I have one completed and three incomplete torrent tasks in my client. If I seed the completed one, will it affect the download speed of the incomplete torrent tasks? Other questions: Suppose a torrent task in BitComet shows Seeds/Peers(all) as 3/9(5/40). Does it mean that there are 5 persons who have the COMPLETE file and out of them 3 are connected? Or these 5 persons actually have INCOMPLETE file? Does the number 40 includes these 5 persons? Someone please answer me.

Hi, I am using bitcomet version 1.32. On various torrent/Magnet downloads the finished file does not store as it normally would. i.e. in the downloaded directory most of my files download as normal where it shows as a yellow folder of what i have downloaded and then when you click on the folder you get the video file inside the folder. However a few downloads are just showing as "File". So rather getting the usual yellow folder symbol i am getting what looks like a blank page symbol (Small white Rectangular shaped symbol) You can still open the file and chose what programme you would like to use to open it. It still allows you to view the video file this way. However if you try and convert the file to disk. No software recognises the file. Is there anyone else having this issue and if so is there a fix for this Thanks V

I dont know whether it is possible or not , as i am unaware of the complexity, presently, there is an option for mirror downloading which will help us to download even when our primary link is down. but this is not available for torrents. that is when a torrent fails to complete its downloading due to less peers,it stays as it is. my idea is, if i see another HTTP link which is exact the same file,I can add it as a mirror and continue downloading. will you consider it???
