  1. Hi could anyone explain or point out where I can fid the explanation for the disparity between the download rate in the torrents list and the sum of individual download rates. Cheers Yash
  2. Hi there If I understand you correctly you need to auto reconnect when your line is dropped. If that is the case you might find this useful: Go to start menu -> connect to-> Show all connections right click on your default connection-> properties choose the options tab under Redailing options turn on Redail if the line is dropped that should automatically reconnect you everytime the line is dropped. hope that takes care of your problem. ;) Yash
  3. Hi all I wonder if it would be possible for the prioritising system on the file level to be more dicriminating. Most of the time there is a noticable change of speed when the priority of certain files within a torrent are put on very high as opposed to normal. I find that the rate of download between files set to normal and that of the ones set to very high is around 1/3. that is OK when the number of files within the torrent is small and the torrent as a whole is not too big. but when downloading larger torrents with high number of files the current system just doesn't do the job. as you can see in the image above the files underlined in red or green are or were set to very high priority.but the other files on the torrent and there is alot of them are also taking up the bandwidth. I can't see why there is no way of pausing (preferably just the downstream side) certain files within the torrent which is a pain for the impaitient among us (that includes me). Thank you Yash I fixed your screenshot for you, Suspect
  4. I'm looking for an old movie (1993). it's not up anywhere but it's a classic. i'm sure tons of people have it how can I get some on to seed it again? cheers guys
  5. WOW It worked! amazing. nice one Suspect. Thank you. all the progress indicators are back to where they were before. we'll have to wait a while longer for the whole thing to finish downloading to see if there are any bits that ended up being corrupted. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks for you help mate. it's much appreciated. may I suggest we put this on the FAQ. I couldn't find anything relevant last night. Brilliant cheers mate yash
  6. Hi Suspect I don't think I did a very good job of explaining the problem. the place holder files are still there. and they seem to be intact I can play them using VLC player but there are certain portions of the file that are missing. my guess is that they are the bits that were still to be donwloaded. so you see I just need to get Bitcomet to fill in the gaps. the remaining 10 percent. how can I get bitcomet to do that? Cheers Buddy Yash
  7. Hi Suspect I apereciate the reply. Will not disable downloads in the future. although it could be a useful feature for the future releases. The interesting thing is that the banned files are still playable with VLC except for the portions which were not downloaded yet. so it seems that Bitcomet is just overwriting all the data now. As the files are quite large I wonder if there is anyway of making Bitcomet clock up the old data and download the rest. otherwise there goes another TWO WEEKS. PLEASE HELP :( Yash
  8. Hi there I have been downloading a rather large set of files for the past two weeks. I decided to disable(read pause) some of the files by setting the priority to disabled in the files tab so I could get the rest of them to finish quicker. the whole task is around 8.5GBs and it was around 88% done. but when I set the priority back to normal they all start from 0% again and that can take another couple of weeks. I just want to continue downloading those files from where I left off. how can I get bitcomet to do that. I'm using bitcomet v0.7 on Windows XP SP2
