  1. I finally found out (at least I think) what is wrong. What does mean "Unable to Map Port". I will once again say, that it is not related to firewall.
  2. This doesn't work. Now I know, that 10600 error is not caused by firewall. Does anyone know how to fix it (Can't connect to any tracker, 10600 error).
  3. I use BitComet 0.70, with firewall* set ok, Sagem F@st 800 modem etc... I can't connect to ANY tracker (except DHT network which gives me a list of peers.....with no use of it, because I'm unable to connect any of them) There is one error: "Can't connect to tracker (10600)" I have tried changing listening ports, but that doesn't work. Anybody knows what might be the cause of my problems? *Because I've been using Win Xp sp2 firewall for quite a long time, I have noticed that it is (mostly) useless. What is the best firewall? (Forget about Norton Firewall, because it takes too much system resources)
  4. This does not work. When I have uninstalled cFos my download speed went to 3kb/s. Plus I have checked computer for pottential spyware by Lavasoft Ad-Ware, and this program have found 44 threats. After dealing with them the download speed went to about 5kb/s. Any idea about how such slow dl speeds appear? Maybe because the torrent I'm downloading is overloaded 66seeds/370 peers
  5. I still use BitComet 0.70, and I've got a question. I have to limit my up speed, otherwise my dl speed goes down near to zero (ADSL 256kbit, Sagem F@st 800 modem, Win XP Sp2, cFos Speed 3.0 Traffic Sharping, Nod 32 antivirus system and standard WIN Xp firewall), but if I do that, it means that some guys may ban my ip for good. How can I find out if someone banned my ip? Now, I get about 12, 13 kb/s dl speed while usually I get 25, 26kb/s (on 32 kb/s possible). I have limited my max upload speed (16kb/s) to 10 kb/s. Plus, when I go surfing on the internet, my dl speed goes to about 20kb/s, How is that possible, is it some sort of malware?
  6. You should try using PowerISO, or UltraISO. But there is a little problem. Unregistered version of these programs allows you to modify/extract files up to 300mb. If your file is bigger, try looking for serial/crack. Be careful though, because owners of such sites like to place p*** banners. PowerISO 3.3 Trial UltraISO Trial
  7. Because I've liked this forum (really quick answers), I'd like to ask another question. It's about the portforwarding. In BitComet speed faq I've read about the portforwarding. Because It seems that I've got Sagem F@st 800 E3T USB router. I set static ip adress, but on www.portforwarding.com I cannot find my router. Searching on Google also doesn't bring any results. Can anyone tell if portforwarding will bring any performance improvment (ADSL 256 kbit/s, so the maximum real speed is about 30, 32 kb/s but on every torrent it's max 20kb/s), and if it will, how I can do it?
  8. Thanks! It was some kind of spyware that was blocking the ports. Now I can down/up load data using bitcomet.
  9. Thanks for such a quick reply. 1. I'll try to use another firewall 2. I didn't istall any new software 3. All my problems started when i took my hard drive to a friend of mine, and connected it to his computer as a slave disk (to copy a real big file). Maybe I've catched a virus or sth but my antivir soft (avast! with latest virus database) didn't detect anything. 4. I don't recive any tracker problems at all (everything is ok but the connection.) 5 Since my last post Bitcomet finally connected to some peers, but didn't start downloading or uploading data. 6 I've got Celeron 1.2 GHZ, 256 Mb Sdram, sapphire radeon 9200 128mb 128 bit ram and 160 GB Segate hard disk 7 I Am sure that i use direct USB adsl modem. PS: Thank you.
  10. I've got ADSL 256 kb/s, Sagem modem (F@st 800/840) with v3.0 drivers (Installed as USB ADSL Lan Adapter) I use cFos v.7.0 to connect internet, BitComet 0.7 to download, and Windows Xp with Sp2 as OS. I know about the connection limit, and I've already set it from 10 to 100. When I'm downloading ANY torrent, I can't connect to ANY of the peers (I've tried with many different torrents) , although there are plenty of them. I usually have 20 kb/s dl speed and 10kb/s upload speed, but now they're both at 0. Turning off the XP firewall doesn't change a thing. These are the my settings: Connection Global Global max download rate = unlimited Global max upload rate = 10 kb/s Task Schedule Max simultaneous download tasks = 100 Automaticly start a new task if download rate below = 10kb/s Listen port=15898 (chanching it doesn't change anything) No proxy Task Do not prompt when add new ask = no Allocate disk when add new task = no Add .bc! extension for incomplete file = yes Delete 0 byte files when task is removed = yes Display task delete confirm dialog = yes When download is finished Hash-check again when download task is finished auto stop task when share ratio reaches = no limit do not auto stop task when seeds less then = 5 shut down computer when all task are finished and auto stopped Upload Maximum upload rate per task = no limit Minimum upload rate per task = no limit Minimum upload rate per seeding task = 3 kb/s Chatting is disabled Avanced Check for updates on startup= yes default bittorrent client = yes disable torrent confirm file download dialog = yes set hash check thread to low priority = yes add dht network as backup tracker =yes add backup tracker if connection isn't estabilished in 1 minute backup trackers = none Connection Enable DHT network = yes Enable Nat/firewall configuration in ics/icf (xp only) = yes Enable unpn port mapping (xp only) = yes Remove ports on Nat/firewall (xp only) = no Maximum connections per task = auto Connections to keep per task = auto Global maximum upload slots = auto Global minimum upload slots = auto Socket send buffer size = auto Socket start interval = 300 ms Max open tcp connections = 100 use nat traversal via udp = automatic protocol encryption = auto detect Ip rules Enable reporting lan ip to tracker = yes enable ip filter file ipfilter.dat (compatibile with emule) = yes max sessions per ip for downloading task = 3 max sessions per ip for uploading task = 1 Disk cache minimum disk cache size = 100 mb maximum disk cache size = 200 mb shrink disk cache if free physical mermory lower than 50 mb auto choose cache size in given range = yes If anyone need more config specification, fell free to post a reply If anyone can tell me how to improve my Bitcomet performance, basing on my configuration please post a reply too.
  11. This is bad. My download speed is zero, but my upload speed is as high as it can be. Changing the limits of total upload speed doesn't make any difference. Can anyone help me? I've got WinXP Sp 2 set to 80 connection at time, adsl 256kb. And i know that the lack of seeders is not the cause of my problems (there are 10 of them right now)
  12. I've got ADSL 256 kb/s. My first Bitcomet torrent was a movie with low number of peers (about ten). Despite of that my download speed was 30kb/s. Since then I've downloaded 4 torrents, with many peers, but every time when I've started to download another torrent, my dl speed was descending. Now, I'm downloading a very popular torrent with 812 peers at 12, 10 kb/s. Of course, I'm seeding the torrents I've downloded, (but not when i'm downloading). Can anyone tell why is it like that, maybe because of the settings? Thank you guys in advance.
