  1. I'm assuming this is pure bad luck with the files you're downloading, there are times when the download goes at full speed but sometimes get stuck at around 99.9% because there are no seeders and it could take me days before I can complete the download. But since its happening to three consecutive files, there might be some other problem, but I'd put my money on shere bad luck.
  2. What version of Bit Comet do you have running on your computer? And also check the Seeds/Peers[all] column as well to see if you have sufficient Seeders.
  3. Well that surely is weird, but as far as I can say, I'm guessing it has to be bad data. Correct me on this one if I'm wrong please
  4. Thats exactly what I use BitComet 0.70. But irrespective of the version, it always happend to me, even on BitComet 0.62 Is this a known issue?
  5. Once again, another problem I've had with bit comet, even though its a negligible problem, I just wanted to know, sometimes when I'm downloading a torrent, I switch off my computer and switch it back on, the average download speed shows 500 kbps and avg. upload rate shows as 300 kbps. This is wrong information since my maximum download speed is 130 kbps and maximum upload speed is 45 kbps. Is there any reason for this BitComet bug if I might say so?! Does'nt happen all the time, but it does happen. THANKS IN ADVANCE
  6. Another thing i wanted to ask was...What is the differnece if i set the priority of some videos to 'very high' sum to 'high' and some to 'normal'...how does this affect the videos i download..do they download in the order of their priority ????? Please reply
  7. Wish I could, but it jus keeps running at the back of my mind as to why I'm having problems downloading in parts????!!!!!!!
  8. EDIT: Someone please help me. Its happened again. I know I'm going wrong somewhere.
  9. Firstly, did you download the files with the 'downloading in parts' option? By which I mean did u open the torrent and tick what u want to download and untick what you don't want to download? Because I also got the same problem, I used the 'download in parts' option with which u can download what ever you want first from the torrent file by ticking and unticking respectively. I was downloading Prison Break season 1 torrent, I decided to download the first episode, downloaded, worked, downloaded the second episode and that did not work, gave the same error as your files are giving, I tried working the file in every possible media player but to no avail, finally I just redownloaded the file and voila, it starts working. I'm really freaked out by this problem because its never happened before.
  10. I tried opening it in all the possible media players including WMP; tried 10 diffferent ones but to no avail. Downloaded another 5 of them, still the problem persisted, finally I just download the file again, then to my surprise it started working in WMP. Never had this problem before. For the first time I've used the 'downloading in parts' option and incur this problem.
  11. Well Well Well....It's happened once again This time its my Lost Season torrent..i downloaded one episode...and it doesnt work..same freakin error as Prison Break...REALLLY getting bugging now. I think its happening because of the way i use the 'downloading in parts' option...can anyone tell me if Im doing anything wrong?? Thanks
  12. Thnaks for your help, I opened episode 2 to check if anything is missing. I browsed to episdoe from start to end, but found nothing missing or deleted. That being a different scenario all together, what I was really concerned about was as to why the file I downloaded just didn't open and it seemed as though I downloaded the file which got corrupted. The more weirder thing is that when I re-downloaded the file, it started working. I did the same thing for the Lost first season, I downloaded it in parts, but did'nt make a single change by checking and unchecking the boxes several times and I've had absolutely no problems with that torrent, downloaded 5 episodes one-by-one, all working and good
  13. I was initally downloading the whole season which was 8.5 GB..but then..a friend told me about the option of downloading in parts...thats when i went to properties unselected all files and seleted the ones I wanted to download..by that time..parts of the first six .avi files had already been downloaded since the downloads folder contained 7-8 .bc extensions.. Could that be another reason??? Now ive deleted the .bc exntensions and once i download those files..ill make sure i start downloading then freshly
  14. Thanks for your help...that reminds me...I actually have to admit that i did check and uncheck the files endless number of times because i could decide which file to download first since i recently got to know about this option of downloadin in parts.. Could that be the reason??
