  1. I opened the ports with the firewall like you said and it worked! Thanks for that. Also sorry for making mistakes, I really appreciate your help :) Because you know, internetz is cool
  2. Then telling us what you did to forward them?--Okay I connected to my router through google chrome and did the following: Entered 192.168.1.1->Forwarding->Virtual Servers->Add new... Service port: 3658 IP address: 192.168.1.101 Protocol: ALL Status: Enable Common Service Port: none And how did you test them to see that this one it's still closed?--PFPortChecker And for what app are you using it?--What? it would be nice to know what you're trying to open the port in, too.--Demon's Souls(PS3 game) and Bitcomet Is there a router with a firmware firewall here?--I don't know, how do I check? The built-in firewall to some version of Windows?--The built-in firewall is the same one I got from the windows service pack 2 and I didn't update it. Other then AVG, no 3rd party firewall
  3. I see. What kind of information I could give?
  4. I forwarded 4 ports, 3479 being among them. They all worked and this one remains unopen from some reason. Is there any reason why a specific port refuses to open up? Maybe it is just shy
  5. I tried, didn't help. Change it with another? I can try that
  6. Model: Motorola SB5101 Router EDIMAX BR-6424n By the way it is the router, it always did it. I will check it tonight Okay I tried, no dissconnection. So its the router's fault? What should I do with it?
  7. My router has 3 important light bulbs: Power WAN Signal The signal light bulb got turned off and the internet stopped functioning, I plugged out the electricity cable and plugged it back again to find the router working Also Bitcomet is still showing up status as unknown even though it downloads Edit: I just tried activating the Bitcomet, it stayed active for a minute or two and then the internet stopped working without a relation to the light bulbs. I had to take the electricity plug out and in again to activate the internet. Edit2: Activated Bitcomet before sleeping, when I waked up the signal light bulb was fine but the internet didn't work
  8. Can I assign a new place for the port so I can use it? Also, my bitcomet worked but 4 hours after it worked it dissconnected me from the internet. Any ideas why? Maybe I downloaded too much things? The download rate was on 200 kb I think
  9. I forwarded 5223,3478,3479,3658 because those are the ports that belong to Demon's Soul for the PS3 according to portforward.com but 5223 refuses to open. 65432 works, seems like I use UDP but 5223 is still problamic
  10. Okay...sorry about not reading that thread. Okay I followed all of the steps until 5 but it asks me what is my router model. It is BR-6424n of Edimax but it doesn't appear on the list, can I simply use the BR-6504N guide or is it critical? Also there is something strange, I forwarded 5223,3478,3479,3658 and they are open but port 5223 refuses to be opened, maybe its my firewall? Also if there is information I should supply then tell me what to cover, I don't want hackers going on my ip address
  11. Weird that it says my ip starts with 80, I am positive that it starts with 192.
  12. I think that the router is malfunctioned, I am taking it back to the store in exchange for another type of Router. Hopefully that will solve the problem. Do not lock the thread yet, I might come back with the same problem.
