movie files become corrupt

How is it that when I have the checksum option on (control checksum after download is finished) almost a third of all movies I download are corrupt? It's NOT a codec problem, because I have to delete the file and download again for it to work. And it DOES work when I download it again. Makes me wonder what kind of checksum that is. I even checked in one AVI-file and it's obvious why it doesn't work, because there is heaps of data missing. I guess I should just stop using bit comet huh?
