bovin Posted June 29, 2011 Share Posted June 29, 2011 I bought the VIP because my ports are blocked due to not being able to access my colleges router to forward my ports. So this tends to be a problem when i download a torrent. Most get to around 90% and then stop, either not downloading anything, or, downloading but not raising the total percentage up. This is quite annoying. So i bought the VIP. I am sure that this helped me out a lot but it still seems in some cases even tho there are like 200 seeders, it still stops. kluelos Posted June 29, 2011 Share Posted June 29, 2011 Lack of an open listen port does not cause a download to stop at 90%. Rather, it greatly slows your download speed for the entire torrent, but will, ATBE, finish the download. Torrents that don't finish are an entirely different issue, not related to whether the listen port is open. The factors that prevent a torrent from completing, won't be changed by using VIP.
