Google Chrome has stopped asking where to save Torrent files

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon!

Since recently I've encountered a small but unpleasant problem. When downloading a torrent file, Google Chrome has stopped asking where to save it and automatically saves it to the root of the "Downloads" folder (set by default) and goes straight to the download. This is extremely inconvenient for me, I have a separate folder for torrent files. I used to have it set up for Chrome to ask me where to save files, still now I have the "Always specify download location" option selected in Chrome settings. Please advise me how to get the settings back to the way they were. I suspect it might be related to updates in BitComet maybe. Thanks.
I am using Windows 10 Pro; Google Chrome Version 115.0.5790.171; BitComet torrent client (64bit) ver. 2.00
