silent55
Hey all I have a problem with my downloads. I have my bitcomet in two locations my two homes. I am downloading everything in my first house smoothly with no problems what so ever at all & I am using a Desktop over there. However, in this home where I am now, using my laptop I am unable to download anything. I have successfully downloaded Bitcomet, installed it, logged in to www.mininova.org selected many torrents (different sizes), but all I see is the file with the two parallel arrows indicating that it is connecting to the peers, but without actually downloading anything. The same process I use at my other house, but there, I download everything I wish for, here I left it for one week and nothing happened. The only difference is that I am using a desktop there with 512 mb speed and a laptop with a wireless 256 mb connection here. I have no clue what is wrong. I don't think it is the speed, even with a 256 mb speed, after a week I would have atleast 1% downloaded, but here it is not giving me any sign except the connecting arrows without actual connection. I would appreciate if anyone can help me to solve this issue. Regards,
Dark_Shroud
Are you connecting through a wireless router with the laptop? The router might have a firewall and need a port forwarded.
silent55
Yes, I am using a wireless ADSL modem router Seimens Speedstream 6520. It was installed by a technician from the local service provider. I really have no clue how to forward a port.
