But remember if you have to log in to your college network or your plugged into a jack in your dorm then the network admins will still see your huge amounts of data transfer and know who you are so only download legit stuff and/or dont use it toooo much.

im not sure how to set it up still

a. what type of proxy should it be

b. do i put an ip address in the proxy server

You shouldn't be using anything older than 0.63. You should give 0.70 a try first.
