lthot
Hi, I've got a 2Mbit/256Kbit cable modem (Motorola SB4200) connection. But I only download somewhere between 10 - 40kb sec. This is the same for every file I've downloaded the past months. Of some reason my upload speed is much heigher, usually around 55 - 60kb sec. The current torrent I'm downloading has 3 of 3 seeds possible, 55 of 1475 peers possible with a health of 2014%. I can't figure out what's wrong. kluelos
At least some part of this is that you're getting your units confused. BitComet doesn't report your speed in Kb/s. No bittorrent client (or other network app) does. They report the speed in KB/s. It makes a very large difference, a factor of 8. 1 KB/s = 8 Kb/s. ISP's like to sell Kb/s because it makes the numbers bigger and sounds more impressive. Everyone else finds that pretty silly, so uses KB or MB/s.
