ashflippinlee
hello! i have a quick question. first off i was downloding something and this pop up kept coming up to update bitcomet so i decided to do that and when i did and opened it again the download was gone and it wasn't even finished yet. I still have all the files in the downloads folder but its not finished. so i was told that i needed the torrent so i downloaded the file again and it said torrent already exits. so then i decided just to start downloding sometihng else just to see what was wrong and now it doesn't matter what i download nothing shows up in the transfer screen. i was just wondering how i could fix this without deleting bitcomet and losing all my files just to re-instal it to fix it. Oh and also ive tried draging the file to bitcomet to get the torrent like what it said in the FAQs but still nothing. Thank you so much if u can help!! kluelos
This usually indicates that a software firewall is blocking the client's outbound traffic. Many such firewalls treat an upgrade as a whole new program they've never heard of and have no rule for, rather than an upgrade to an existing program to which the existing rule should be applied. Check your firewall's log to see if this is the case. If you've disabled its logging, re-enable it, run it again, and check. You should completely delete the old rule for BC< and make a new one, remembering to enable it for both TCP and UDP traffic.
