If you've lost the original source, but have recreated it exactly (and I do mean exactly) then you should be able to put it in place of the original, and have the torrent task hash-check it. After the check completes it should report that it has 100% of the file. If it doesn't, and you're absolutely certain the file is in the right path, then it's not exact enough.
