kluelos Posted December 2, 2006 Share Posted December 2, 2006 It's purpose is to interface with an external file, which must be named "ipfilter.dat", and be in an exact format, which will then refuse to connect to/allow connections with those listed in that file. But it's up to you to create or obtain the file itself, and make sure it's in the right format. So if you're not using this feature or don't have such a file, then you can safely turn that option off. It's better to use a free program called PeerGuardian2 for this purpose anyway.
