Hi all, im a new user of bit comet and theres somethings i dun understand n need help on. I've run through d FAQ but cant seem to find any related topics. What i wanna ask is, after i exit BitComet. My sygate firewall keeps popping up that some remote host from BitComet is trying to connect me to some ip. I clicked no and it keeps popping up with different ip addresses. I understand that torrent files are shared all over the world and i do share my files with other torrent users. But isn't it suppose to stop after i exit BitComet. Is there any setting that i could set to stop it from connecting automatically after i exit from BitComet? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

but as you have exited BC your firewall comes in

i find the easiest way to slove this is to unplug my router for a mo then reconnect, but this will only work if your ip is dns not static

caf4926 was talking about dynamic IP when he said "DNS". Dynamic IP changes with time, and static doesn't. To determine which type you own check BitComet's "Logs" section (or visit WhatIsMyIP.com every, say, hour) and notice whether last digits of it change (e.g 123.45.67.89 -> 123.45.67.65).
