costillaplus
For awhile now I have been using MPCStar to watch almost all video files but for a few days now even after restarting my computer the volume on MPCStar is extremely low even though it is at the normal volume in all the other video players I have. Does anyone know what might be causing this to happen?
greywizard
What are the settings on the "Audio-->Volume Setting Panel" menu?
costillaplus
What are the settings on the "Audio-->Volume Setting Panel" menu? Speaker Volume Speaker Type: 5.1 Surround All sliders to right Move Sliders at Same Time (Don't think this one matters) And On the second tab everything is off and the slider is completely to the right(Boost Slider). I am 90% sure that those are also the settings from before this problem. Edited February 21, 2010 by costillaplus (see edit history)
kluelos
You *did* check, down at the bottom of that menu, under "Volume", that "Mute" wasn't turned on, right? Just checking.

Don't mean to sound rude but I did say "Extremely Low" not "Mute". Low means that you can barely hear it mute means that you can't hear it at all. greywizard
I'm assuming that you have verified and you have this problem with any video file not just with a specific one. Also I'm assuming that you really have a 5.1 speaker system. You need to start giving some more details (OS, additional codecs/filters installed, MPCStar version). Apart from that, post a screenshot of the File Properties window, with the File Properties category selected.
costillaplus
Just reinstalled it and after trying a few times it seems to work better now. Edited February 21, 2010 by costillaplus (see edit history)
