buchi46 Posted May 4, 2011 Share Posted May 4, 2011 When trying to download a *.jpg attach cometbird always tries to save it, if I ask to open it,CB cannot find my windows pic. an fax viewer I have win XP and IE 8 which does open the attchs straight away. The UnUsual Suspect Posted May 4, 2011 Share Posted May 4, 2011 Hi, First thing I want to make sure your aware of is that by "opening" a file instead of "saving", your still downloading it to your computer. The only differences are that when you "open", it gets saved in a folder where an average computer user has no idea where to find it, but if you save, then it goes to your default download folder, or any other location you specify. Regarding the problem, do you have .jpg files associated with a specific program? Also, can you please provide us with a link to a file that causes this problem so we can test it on our computers.
