dkgooner
Every time I download an "avi-file" I cannot open it when finnished. I have tried using: Windows media player 9 BS-player VLC-player Win-amp Real-player Quick time-player But NONE of them seems to work. Do I need some SPECIAL codecs ? TIA Dkgooner P.S. Normally I don't have problems with avi-files using VLC-Player

The UnUsual Suspect
This is most often a codec issue. Here are some links to get codecs... CCCP (best for playing of files) http://cccp-project.net/ k lite codecs (best for playing, editing and encoding) http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm if you select the k lite pack, don't just install all the options, or you will surely have problems (default settings work fine for nearly every user) Which ever codec pack you select, be sure to install Media Player Classic (included). It will play more filetypes then the most media players. Suspect

I had the same problem too, check out my post here: http://forums.bitcomet.com/index.php?showtopic=2824
