Geistware
I have the following Tracker listed http://BTslickz.1337-h4x0r.be:6969/announce When I go to the Tracker tab, it shows 112 retries with the status of Can't Connect Tracker (11004) It also shows the DHT Network returend 121 peers. The UnUsual Suspect
This means this tracker is not currently online, but since you have enabled dht, you have connected to peers using dht instead. If the file/s are downloading, then you can rest easy since you have a client that supports dht. If it isn't downloading, or has stopped, please state how many seeds/peers are present. Geistware
It is down loading and seeds is zero and peers is six. DHT is node 2386. The UnUsual Suspect
If there really are zero seeds, then the files will never finish (unless a seeder returns). However, it is possible that there are seeders, but since the tracker is not working, you cannot connect to them. In this case, they may indeed finish, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. It's best to avoid torrents without seeders, unless you accept the fact that there is a good chance it will never finish. Suspect
Geistware
Well lets see, Torrent spy says the following: Size Files S D 5.76 GB 64 768 4261 If I read this correctly, there are 768 seeds. It did finish downloading but I have one corrupt file. I have deleted the one file and downloaded it again and it is still bad. It is one of 64 RAR files. I am now downloading another torrent. This one has zero seeds as well but Torrent Spy says the following. Size Files S D 5.76 GB 64 399 3314 If there really are zero seeds, then the files will never finish (unless a seeder returns). The UnUsual Suspect
If your one "rar" piece was damaged in download, you can fix it by doing a manual rehash, no need to delete and redownload. Also, be sure your using Winrar, not one of the other programs, as some have issues. Winzip I'm told is not good at opening .rar files. As for what the web site is reporting regarding seeds/peers, this iinfo is often updated daily, or less, so often is not even close to being correct. One other piece of information that is useful. Some uploaders use a type of seeding called "superseeding". When used correctly, this is only for new torrents that have only one seed, but since this one seed isn't seeding in a standard bit torrent mode, it will appear as a peer, but will show 100% if you are connected to it. The idea with superseeding, is it distributes all pieces in order, so everyone completes at about the same time. This way, as soon as the uploader sends out a complete copy, there are dozens, or hundereds of seeders, and he can stop, and begin another torrent. Regarding this tracker you mentioned, you might want to look for their website/forum, and see if they have any restrictions, that could be causing you to not connect.
