caf4926
I downloaded the program fine and thought that I downloaded the file fine, but when I went to play it I got audio and a blank screen. I'm playing the video on RealPlayer. I am new to this and need some help! thanks!! as you don't say what exactly your trying to play, ie: what the file extention is EG; .avi, .mpg..........etc its difficult to say exactly what your problem is. However, I assume its some kind of video Try downloading and installing VLC Media player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Its free and will play just about anything (except I don't think it plays real media files) But try it, its great and free - and doesn't take over your PC If that doesn't work try Media Player classic http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/

Dark_Shroud
THANKS!! That vlc player worked great! And yes, it was a video. thanks again! Keep an eye on your files. VLC isn't up to date on all of its codecs and can have problems with .mkv files. if you want to play it in windows media player, download this: http://free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=1716&s=67 It should make all videos work from now on. Empyre, don't use codec packs like that unless you're actually ripping video. For playback use FFDShow or CCCP which uses FFDShow. You won't get conflicts, resource usage is lower, new packs are released every month & half so you can keep up to date by downloading one file, and last but not least, FFDShow's Divx & Xvid work better than the offical codecs. Click on my sig for CCCP.
