RMVB

For this particular conversion (RMVB to DVD), probably the easiest option for you is a program called DVD-Santa. It will convert the file to the proper format and burn it to DVD. Unfortunately, it isn't free.

There are other programs that will do the necessary task, but most of them are harder to use or won't also burn the disk.

MMConvert will do part of the job, but won't convert all the way to a format that can be played in any DVD player and it also won't burn the disk.

Conversions of this kind take a long time -- hours. There's no way around that, I'm afraid. You'll want to start it up when you're going to be away from the computer for a while, or let it run overnight.
