Carlos Moschen
Friends, I have a question: I was downloading and my sister shut down the computer at dawn, I wonder if this corrupts the file or not? Does bitcomet recover something automatically if it has corrupted? Sorry for my English. Thank you!
Rhubarb
If you close down using the software, Bitcomet will save the data for incomplete files. However if you just turn off the power at the socket then it won't. Also, if you suspect that the file may be corrupted, stop the download, do a manual hash check on the file and re-start it
chaoticbeliever
It shouldn't corrupt the files. Your downloads should continue as soon as you restart the PC.
Rhubarb
Chaotic - please read the earlier response. Shutting down the PC via the software won't corrupt anything as Bitcomet will save what it's doing. A hard reset (just turning off the power) will cause problems - the downloads can corrupt (and Bitcomet will probably need a hash check) and Windows itself will want to run chkdsk
