scarecrow_76 Posted August 10, 2006 Share Posted August 10, 2006 can any one tell me how to get rid of these damn pop-ups? i usually let my downloads go during the night so there done in the morning. when i get up i have at least 20 pop-ups on my screen. i have dsl, the pop-up blockers on highest level, i have avg, venus spy trap. also the only thing open is bitcomet, no browsers or anything and i am still getting these popups, along with new icons on my desktop for "free ringtones", and "party poker" and other s*** like that. any ideas? kluelos Posted August 10, 2006 Share Posted August 10, 2006 Bitcomet has nothing to do with these. It looks like an insecure and infested system. First thing to do is make sure you've got a firewall running. Then clean up your system with AdAware, Spybot S&D, and your antivirus program.
