wondeer
Gracias. Hello everyone, I'm new to the BitComet forums. The problem that worries me, I think, is due to an incompatability problem between version 1.35 and the eMule plug-in version1.24 (both for the Xtreme mode as well as for the Normal one)... as in previous versions of BitComet, the same version of the eMule plug-in worked very well for me. The plug-in gives me error messages - the like of 'the system can't find the specified file', 'an error has ocurred when creating a specific file(that's why it can't be found), etc. . So, I accessed BitComet's directory and was able to see (to my surprise) that in the "plugin_emule" folder many folders were missing - they hadn't been installed during the installation of the plug-in - therefore, I wasn't at all surprised that the eMule wouldn't work and would not connect. Well, I await a solution. Thank you. Edited August 3, 2014 by cassie (see edit history)
The UnUsual Suspect
I'm using BitComet version 1.37 and eMule plugin 1.24 and it seems to work fine.
I installed version 1.37 and continued with the problems. Finally, I thought of choosing to [enable] the option of 'Run as Administrator', in the Compatibility tab in the Properties of BitComet's direct access **, and now it works again...but... the Kadnetwork doesn'tconnect (and I have the ports open, as always and without any problems)... something that before, when everything worked very well, would connect without any problem. So I don't know what it could be. I, also, have e-Mule's MorphXT and it works flawlessly. If you, The UnUsual Suspect, or anyone else thinks of anything else, I would appreciate it a lot. Greetings. [** - I may have gotten these a little mixed up, as far as the order goes...sorry...let me know if it's waayy too far off - cassie] Edited August 6, 2014 by cassie (see edit history)
The UnUsual Suspect
You may have to update your server lists. I believe the plugin comes with the default list from when the equivalent version of emule was released and could be outdated but I'm far from an expert in using emule. I have rarely used it independent of BitComet.
Thank you, The UnUsualSuspect, for trying to help me. The thing is that upon installing the plug-in, no server can be found and I have to manually add thelist of servers. Then, when I connect to eD2K, the plug-in connects without any problem - to the point of obfuscation - but it's with the Kad Net that it tries to connect and never succeeds. I suppose that they'll come up with a new version of BitComet that'll fix this so, I'll either wait until that happens or I'll revert to the prior version in which the plug-in worked ver well for me. Greetings. Edited August 14, 2014 by cassie (see edit history)
