kluelos
land i like the divx dls only if i can. What does that sentence mean? i was told to forget the dvx player, but do i still need the divx converter? It depends on what you want to do. Since you have not said what you want to do, who knows? cccp doesn't have a converter. Of course not. That's not what it's for. You need to spend some time learning what you're doing. are they compatible? What is "they"? i want to watch them on tvi didn't buy a divx player yet! Do you mean that you want to create standard video DVD's? Do you understand the consequences of that?
The UnUsual Suspect
I do think divx/xvid encoding is among the best availble these days, but as you know, they will only play on specially made dvd players. If you don't have one, or want to share your videos with friends that have standard dvd players, then there is another very good choice. Kvcd is designed to burn to CDr discs that will play in most dvd players. If you want to convert divx/xvid to DVD, there are many programs that will do this, but it is not a fast process (takes hours), and basically, one 700mb movie will use an entire DVDr disc 4.38gb. You can squeeze more onto it by reducing bit rate, but quality will suffer if you reduce. Nerovision is an easy to use program, just be sure to get the latest version of nero ultra/premium, at this time, it is 7.5.1.1 Suspect
