DeathraceKing
ok, ive been using bitcomet for a while, for like a year i think and i've had no problems with it, until last month when everytime i downloaded something it would mess up my internet providers network, and they could tell what i was using bitcomet, they didn't really care but they asked that i delete it so i wouldn't mess up the network. and i don't know why its doing that and i'm wondering if theres a setting that would prevent this from happening
Soraiya
o.O Can you tell us which version of BitComet you're using? Did you recently update to a newer version?
DeathraceKing
oh sorry, i was using the 60 version, and i haven't updated
The UnUsual Suspect
I'm quite confused as to what you mean by "messing up" or "internet providers network" I will say that bit comet versions .59 and .60 should not be used, because of an occaisional problem where it does not respect private trackers restriction on dht usage. Please install a newer version. Suspect
kluelos
I suspect this is a cynical version of throttling. Try setting your encryption to "Always". I think "messing up the network" means, "you're using more bandwidth than we hoped, and we'd hate to have to actually deliver on our advertised connection speed". DeathraceKing
yeah i was thinkin maybe that was the case cause they never really specified what the problem was, they just said bitcomet was messing up their network
