For a start it is there all the time and you can go back through as many lines as you want. It also doesn't constantly have to refresh the page. It is simple to chat for anyone. They can either use their own client such as mIRC or through a java link from site. Soraiya, as you probably remember I have discussed this when we were at Seedler. The server we use at TorrentMatrix is irc.p2p-network.net. We have used this and area51 for 2 years now and other than the occasional netsplit we haven't had any trouble with it at all. The staff are always available (well almost) and idle in all channels so that they are reachable.
